After School Programs
Drop the backpack. Grab a paddle.
Our after school programs turn ordinary afternoons into wild adventures. Kids explore creeks, search for crabs, and learn about the world around them—all while getting fresh air, making friends, and having a blast outside.

Camps
When school’s out, adventure’s in.
Our week-long summer camps keep kids outside, curious, and grinning from ear to ear. During the school year, we’ve got one-day camps for holidays and teacher workdays—because nature doesn’t take a day off, and neither does the fun.

School Field Trips
Leave the classroom behind—this is learning in the wild.
Our field trips get kids outside and into the action, where they can paddle through salt marshes, spot wildlife, and discover how nature works (and why it matters). Science comes alive when your “lab” is a barrier island or a boat ride through the estuary.

Homeschool Programs
School looks a little different out here.
Our homeschool adventures are built for curious minds and muddy sneakers. With hands-on lessons in ecology, wildlife, and conservation, kids learn by doing—kayaking through saltwater creeks, exploring trails, and getting to know the natural world, one wild discovery at a time.

CONNECTING KIDS WITH THE OUTDOORS
In 1992, Coastal Expeditions began offering the Young Naturalist Kayak Adventure Camp from our flagship location on Shem Creek. Since then, environmental education has become a cornerstone of Coastal Expeditions, expanding to field trips, after school programs and paid internships for high school students.
Last year, over 10,000 kids participated in an Outdoor School program with us. And through the Coastal Expeditions Foundation, over half of those students participated for free!

Mount Pleasant company connects Lowcountry students to nature through field trips and summer camps
Chris Crolley, CEO and founder of Coastal Expeditions, said it’s important to connect with nature while learning about it.
“These kids want to be outside, they want to learn outside, because that is what we’ve been doing for the majority of our history as earthlings,” Crolley said. “So what we’re doing is basically introducing earthlings to Earth.”
