Overview
From October to March, we offer a fun and engaging fossil adventure to a small island in Charleston Harbor to find fossilized shark teeth, shells and other beach treasures!
The fossil adventure begins with a boat cruise down Shem Creek into Charleston Harbor. Enjoy incredible views of the downtown skyline, Ravenel Bridge, Fort Sumter and other iconic landmarks until we make a beach drop on the island.
Coastal Expeditions guides give you tips on how to spot fossils in the sand and identify what you find!
You’ll have plenty of time to explore on your own- staying below the high tide line-before we head back to the mainland.
