GRANT-SUPPORTED EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS

What we do best at Coastal Expeditions is environmental education.  Three decades of leading field trips and camps have given us the time to make mistakes, find out what works and explore new ways to engage and inspire.

Something we know for certain: Every child deserves a meaningful connection with nature. Over the years, we have learned that there are students on the downtown Charleston peninsula living within 100 yards of the Cooper River that have never been to the beach, been on a boat or walked in the woods. And this is true for many students across the Lowcountry.

The Outdoor School at Coastal Expeditions has found creative ways to get students from underserved schools into the Lowcountry’s wild places for positive interactions outdoors.

Through school field trips, high school internships, after school programs and other programs, the Coastal Expeditions Foundation is committed to the mission of “no child left dry.”  We are able to facilitate these environmental education programs through corporate sponsorships, charitable grants and individual donations.
