Kids On Point (KOP) is an established non-profit organization in Charleston, South Carolina with the mission to “enhance potential through academics, athletics, enrichment opportunities and access to basic resources.”
The Outdoor School at Coastal Expeditions is proud to partner with Kids On Point, providing a summer camp with an environmental education focus. Through a generous grant from Cummins, Inc., this program is free for underserved students in grades K-8 attending Charleston area schools.
This program explores Bulls Island on ten field trips, with separate activities for each grade level. As they progress through the program, they build on skills and information learned on previous experiences.

Katie Morrison,
Education Director
As the leader of the Outdoor School at Coastal Expeditions, Katie is driven to make sure that the programs we offer connect children with the outdoors, especially those with fewer resources or opportunities.
No Child Left Dry
Through school field trips, high school internships, after school programs and other programs, the Coastal Expeditions Foundation is committed to the mission of “no child left dry.” We want every child to have a connection with the creeks, rivers and estuaries of the Lowcountry.
The Outdoor School is able to facilitate these programs through corporate sponsorships, charitable grants and individual donations.
