St. Phillips Island Ferry

The St. Phillips Island Ferry departs from Coastal Expeditions’ St. Helena island Outpost, just 5 miles from Hunting Island State Park.

Once owned by conservationist Ted Turner, he managed this 5000-acre barrier island to protect species like loggerhead sea turtles, wood storks and roseate spoonbills. As a result, St. Phillips Island has been designated a National Natural Landmark by the Department of Interior.
