Kiawah River Safari Cruise

Overview

Gather family and friends on a relaxing wildlife-spotting tour down the Kiawah River.   This safari-style cruise begins at the boat landing at Kiawah River, an island village in the Charleston countryside on Johns Island.  This beautiful setting provides the perfect setting to begin the tour.

Resident dolphins are likely to make an appearance, too, as they slowly work their way through the estuary to hunt. With a dedicated naturalist on board, you’re sure to learn something you didn’t know and see something you may not have noticed- like a deer feeding along the edge of the river or marsh sparrows hidden in the grass.

Bring your binoculars for this wildlife boat tour!

Why We Love It

As soon as you arrive at the dock, you’ll realize the divinity of Kiawah River. It’s a wildlife haven, where we frequently see pods of loping dolphins and flocks of shocking pink roseate spoonbills. It’s quintessential Lowcountry, and this is a great way to see it.
