Overview
After School Program
Ages 5-9
Every week, we’ll depart from the Beaufort City Marina to explore nearby islands to learn about our local ecosystems, play and develop outdoor skills. Each excursion includes a variety of activities, and will change day to day based on the tide and weather conditions.
Weekly Ocean Explorers adventures include boat tours to barrier islands, crabbing, fishing, beach combing and more.
Why We Love It
One things kids don’t get enough is free play in nature. We know that it build confidence, increases happiness and allows kids to connect with each other. Our Beaufort after school programs keep kids connected with nature and set them up for a lifetime of fun.

What To Pack & Wear
Kids should be dressed for the weather, including a hat to protect from the sun. Even if it is warm, a windbreaker is recommended for the boat ride. Wear shoes that can get wet and will stay on their feet (Tevas/Chacos/sneakers).
Bring water, snack, towel and sunscreen in a small bag or backpack.
Guide Safety & Training
All Coastal Expeditions guides hold certifications in first aid, CPR and lifeguarding. As year-round leaders of day camps and school field trips, our staff is well-trained to keep safety at the forefront. Children wear PFDs while they are on each daily expedition and any time they are near water.
Our captains hold 100-ton master captain licenses from the USCG. Coastal Expeditions boats are custom-built vessels that receive yearly inspections from the U.S. Coast Guard.
Cancellation & Weather Policy
If we do not reach the minimum of 8 children/session, we will give you the option to move to another session or give you a full refund.
