End-of-Season Used Gear Sale

Every December, when the air turns crisp and the marsh grass fades to gold, we open the livery doors at our Shem Creek headquarters for a Lowcountry tradition nearly three decades in the making — the Coastal Expeditions End-of-Season Used Gear Sale.

This year’s sale is Saturday, December 6 from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m., and if you’ve been waiting for the right time to gear up, this is it.

A Tradition Born of the Water

For 29 years, our guides have paddled, portaged, and explored every creek and estuary in the Lowcountry — and along the way, we’ve learned a thing or two about good gear. Every winter, we make room for the next season by offering our gently used kayaks, canoes, and paddleboards at incredible prices — up to 50% off retail.

Most of the boats in the sale are less than a year old, used lightly through the season and stored under cover at our Shem Creek outpost. They’ve carried our guests into the wild — and now they’re ready for their next adventure with you.

Here’s the best part: every kayak or SUP sold at the sale will sponsor a child from a local Title I school to join a Coastal Expeditions Foundation field trip to Bulls Island or the Crab Bank Seabird Sanctuary.
