SC7 SPARKLEBERRY SWAMP PADDLE

Overview

Sparkleberry Swamp, SC7, South Carolina DNR, Coastal Expeditions

Join us for a one-of-a-kind adventure into one of South Carolina’s hidden natural wonders.

On this special SC7 Expedition, we’ll wind through the enchanting cypress and tupelo trees of Sparkleberry Swamp in Rimini, SC. The still blackwater reflects the forest like glass, creating a mystical paddling experience through this floodplain forest.

We’ll meet at 8:30 AM for a land-based orientation where you’ll get fitted for your kayak, learn essential paddling techniques, and go over safety instructions. Then, we’ll launch into the serene, cypress-lined channels of the swamp for an unforgettable journey.  Read more about Sparkleberry Swamp here

For paddling, wear shoes that stay on your feet (Tevas-style shoes are best), a hat, and synthetic clothing (it will dry faster than cotton).

Weather (thunderstorms or high winds) may impact this excursion. Cancellations usually occur due to lightning, thunder or high winds and we will make sure to reschedule your group if needed. Our general cancellation policies apply unless our experts determine it is potentially unsafe or unwise to venture out. If we cancel for weather, we will refund your rental.
