Volvo For Life Fund Grant Awarded to the Coastal Expeditions Foundation
Capt. Chris Crolley and Madison Cantrell attended a Fika at Volvo in Ridgeland, SC for their grants presentation. We are excited to announce that along with other Lowcountry non-profits, the Coastal Expeditions Foundation was awarded a Volvo for Life Fund grant to help us with a new program, Warrior One.

The Volvo For Life Fund supports actions that protect people and the planet. Grants are intended to improve people’s lives, support the environment, and help communities be more prepared for emergencies.
The mission of the Coastal Expeditions Foundation is to keep the Lowcountry- and its people- wild through environmental education and habitat protection. Our new program, Warrior One, takes existing CE Foundation programs to amplify the conservation work that we are doing.
Veterans from our Coastal Warriors program, who volunteer regularly on federal lands within Cape Romain National Wildlife Refuge, will mentor South Carolina students on field trips, leading them on an environmental service project like beach sweeps. These events protect critical nesting habitats for sea turtles and seabirds, and foster community action.
As this program develops, the Coastal Expeditions Foundation will share events and metrics from these special service projects.
We appreciate the opportunity to expand our impact in the Lowcountry through the support of Volvo and the Volvo For Life Fund.
