Kiawah River Kayak Tour

Overview

Explore a wild and scenic water trail on Johns Island by sea kayak on the Kiawah River Kayak Tour!

The tour begins at our outpost within Kiawah River, an island village in the Charleston countryside.  Meet your guide at the Outfitter Shop near the Boat Landing where everyone will be fitted to gear and given a short lesson in sea kayaking.

From there the adventure begins.  Glide through a maze of salt marsh and tidal flats, keeping an eye out for the abundant wildlife that calls this ecosystem home.  Expect to see gregarious pods of bottlenose dolphins and a myriad of birds- herons, eagles, roseate spoonbills and more.

Why We Love It

This tour has become a favorite for our guides because the wildlife is so good.

No prior kayaking experience is needed; Coastal Expeditions guides will teach you everything you need to know to have an enjoyable time on the water. Perfect for families, nature lovers, and anyone looking to make welcome the wild.
