December CEXy News!

Capt. Chris took a group of friends out to the Santee Delta for a birding expedition by boat. The highlight of the day was a bobcat spotted in a tree on the riverside. Charlotte Caldwell captured this great shot of him climbing down a branch.
Olivia and Annie had an amazing trip on Cuckolds Creek! Starting the trip off with a Bald Eagle sitting on a perch next to the landing to then seeing hundreds of tree swallow flying back and forth from a tree next to the creek, passing just inches away from the group!
Liz and Katie had an Awendaw Passage trip this past weekend and the wildlife was amazing! To start off the trip they had a Bald Eagle pass right in front of them on the ICW and once they pulled onto Awendaw Creek we had about 15 white pelicans fly overhead. Along the way they saw a red shoulder hawk, a coopers hawk, and a northern harrier! They also had a some great dolphin sightings along the way. Newer full day trip we have so spread the word to your clients.
Coastal Warriors went out to do some volunteer work on Bulls Island led by Capt. Scott! They picked up 600 items of litter on the beach. Good work and thank you for making our favorite places more clean and protected!
The alligator that had a turtle in his mouth for the last few weeks has finally eaten him! Yay for him!
Capt. Henry, Claire and Capt. Will are continuing to provide incredible tours to St. Phillips Island for the Beaufort community. Look for exciting new developments there soon!
Asher’s Fun Run was a success and all donations are going to Coastal Expeditions Foundation this year. With much thought we decided to create a program called the Asher Mills Project that will fund a school located on the Eastside of downtown Charleston to follow one class from kindergarten to fifth grade. This progressive program will educate students about our local ecosystem and sustainability through completely funded trips such as Island Quest, Fossil Hunts, and kayaking trips.
