Seabird Conservation Through the CEF
The Coastal Expeditions Foundation was founded because a once-raucous seabird sanctuary in Charleston Harbor- Crab Bank- was gone. Once the island had essentially washed away, we knew that we had one chance to get it rebuilt and we put our energy into making sure that it happened.
From there, the CEF has focused on the long-term viability of other nesting island in South Carolina- Deveaux Bank, Marsh Island and Bird Key-Stono.
