Coastal Expeditions Welcomes Thornton Lacy as General Manager of Our Two Beaufort Outposts
With over 15 years of experience in marina management and maritime transportation, Thornton brings knowledge and leadership to our team on St. Helena Island and downtown Beaufort.
Thornton holds a USCG 100-ton Master Captain license and has worked extensively on the waters of the South Carolina Lowcountry. His previous roles include serving as Service Manager at Longshore Boats, General Manager at Suntex Marinas and Port Captain at Dewees Island Ferry. His experience in managing marina operations and delivering exceptional customer service aligns perfectly with Coastal Expeditions’ mission to provide unforgettable outdoor adventures.
In his new role, Thornton will oversee daily operations, guide our team of naturalists and captains, and ensure that every guest experiences the natural beauty and rich history of the Lowcountry to the fullest. His leadership will be instrumental in expanding our offerings and enhancing the quality of our ecotours and education programs in the Beaufort and St. Helena Island areas.
