KIAWAH RIVER BACKROADS SAFARI
Overview
Off-road Ecotour
Embark on an unforgettable off-road safari ride through lush landscapes that are evocative of the South Carolina sea islands. While traveling under a live oak overstory, enjoy the storytelling of Coastal Expeditions naturalists while exploring wild terrain at Kiawah River. Depending on the time of year, expect to see wildlife like egrets, herons, roseate spoonbills, painted buntings, wood storks and anoles.
Along the way, stop to look for basking gators, birdwatch along brackish and freshwater ponds, and take breaks to just look up and take in the lush canopy of live oaks and Spanish moss!
Why We Love It
The Backroads Safari just feels wild and it’s a cool way to see this landscape. We love it.
