SUNRISE EXPEDITION
TO BONEYARD BEACH

BOOK YOUR ADVENTURE

WATCH THE DAY BREAK OVER THE BONEYARD

Cape Romain is closed from dusk to dawn, and no camping is allowed on refuge islands.  This means that very few people get the opportunity to witness the sunrise on the Boneyard Beach of Bulls Island.  Having seen it ourselves, we know that this is a rare and special moment, standing on a pristine shoreline within a National Wildlife Refuge.

We've timed this tour with a low tide a sunrise so that you have all of Boneyard Beach to photograph as the sun peaks over the horizon.  This tour often books out early, so make your reservation as soon as you find the date that suits your schedule!

This photography adventure is suitable for amateurs and professionals.  It is a guide and client favorite (and we don't offer it often).

Private charters are available.  Contact us for more information.

BIRDERS

This trip is an excellent opportunity to see some of the birds that frequent Bulls Island!  From the drop off point, you will have access to myriad of waders, waterfowl, passerines, shorebirds and seabirds!  All of our captains frequently bird the island and can give you up-to-date information about the recent sightings on the island.

AFTER THE TOUR

If you opt to leave with the captain after sunrise rather than waiting for the next ferry departure, you'll want coffee and breakfast.  Head up Highway 17 towards McClellanville to the McClellanville Diner for Crab Cake Benedict and hot mugs of coffee.
