Join Coastal Expeditions’ Tidal Trek program for a week of adventures as we explore the outdoors of the Lowcountry. Whether you are interested in hiking, paddleboarding, kayaking, or just spending your days outside, you have come to the right place! Tap into the outdoors and advance your skills in adventure sports!
Tidal Trek is designed for teenagers ages 13-16. This course revolves around the theme of environmental knowledge, introducing participants to multiple ecosystems and environments that make up the Lowcountry. The course consists of one or more activities each day that could include kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, and hiking. One day, students will also participate in an oyster restoration project with SCDNR. The week will conclude with an overnight kayaking and tent-camping trip in the Frances Marion Forest where we will put our outdoor skills to the test!
All of our experiences are led by highly knowledgeable and skilled naturalists and are geared towards growth, fun, and environmental education. Previous kayaking and paddle boarding experience is not required. While we will be traveling to new locations each day, student drop off and pick up will always be at Coastal Expeditions on Shem Creek, located at 514 Mill Street in Mt. Pleasant, SC.
