KAYAK TOUR

Kayak Through the Pristine Estuary North of Charleston

This is the quintessential Lowcountry kayak trip.  In fact, if you ask around Charleston, you'll find that for many people going to Capers was a defining part of their youth.  If you're wanting to explore the estuary just south of Cape Romain, this is the kayak tour to choose.

We'll time your tour with the tides, making sure that we get a boost from the incoming or outgoing currents to assist us in our journey.  As we make way though the estuary, we'll seek out bottlenose dolphins, timid birds hiding the marsh and maybe a tasty oyster or two.

Once we get to Capers, we'll stretch our legs and explore the beach, taking time for an oceanside picnic.  Your naturalist guide will identify shells you find and show you some of the beach animals and plants that reside on the island.

You'll arrive back at the landing with saltwater on your skin and a smile on your face, feeling like a Lowcountry native (whether you are one or not!).
